November 22, 2009- 5 weeks old!

Ella is 5 weeks old today already! Time is flying. She weighed 8lbs. 6 oz. at her doctor visit last Tuesday (November 17th) and has grown 2 whole inches since birth! We have been keeping very busy and enjoying all the company who have visited with us over the past several weeks... friends, family, coworkers. Ella loved being a banana for Halloween. I think her mom loved it more :) Last week Ella officially smiled for the first time (without it being a "gas smile" :) Today she grasped her pacifier for the first time. Mike is taking very good care of mommy who hasn't cooked a meal since we took Ella home. Mike is off work on paternity leave and is really enjoying it. Ella took her first stroller ride 2 weeks ago today on a beautiful sunny Sunday on the Lakefront. We loved it and wished it were summertime again. Ella is more and more alert everyday.
